![]() ![]() The directors will discuss their concepts for those productions and what it’s like to lead a group of artists to “put on a show.” Class participants will learn about their individual timelines and methods as they prepare to direct in a summer repertory company. Those directors are Paul Mitri, the Lyric’s artistic producer and the Theatre Arts Department head at Utah State University, for Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and guest directors Trisha La Fache for Break It Down Jay Stratton for One Man, Two Governors and Stephanie White for The Marvelous Wonderettes. The four directors of the Lyric’s mainstage productions will be featured in the “Page to Stage” class on Tuesday, June 6. The admin team will also discuss the unique challenges associated with putting together a season. The audience for that class will hear from team members about how and why they selected to shows for this season, Call says. On Monday, June 5, the class will focus on a season overview and a discussion with the repertory company’s administrative team. The “Page to Stage” classes will run from June 5 to June 9 from 11:00 a.m. Participants will get to meet with Lyric Rep company members learn more about their specific contributions and personal stories and, ask questions about what it’s like to make a living as an artist in the theatre.
